Short-term decision coaching

Break through the fence of fear to play on the court of courage.

Bob Lowry helps people who are stuck at a fork. The work is short, direct, and aimed at one decision. It is not therapy, and it is not coaching with no end date.

Often you already know.

What stalls the call is the fear of making it.

Quit the job or stay. Start the thing or keep talking about it. Move, sell, sign, or walk away. Another round of research rarely helps. What helps is a clear look at what is actually keeping you on this side of the decision.

That is the work. A grounded conversation, then you go live with what you decided.

The fence is the waiting. The court is where you play.

This is for you if

  • You are at a fork, and you have been standing there longer than you wanted.
  • You are starting something, and you keep finding reasons to wait.
  • A change is pressing, and you cannot see a clean next step.
  • You are living a smaller version of a decision you already understand.
  • You want a direct conversation with someone who will not decorate the truth.

Four moves. Then you move.

1

Cut through the noise

The excuses, the labels, and the "not yet" get named, so they stop running the conversation.

2

See it clearly

What you are actually afraid of, and what the real decision is.

3

Shape the plan

A little heat and pressure, the way steel is forged, until the next move is something you can carry.

4

Make the call

You leave knowing what you chose, and the doing of it is yours.

How it works

Lived experience

Banking, mountains, and the mat.

The coaching sits on a life already lived in those three places. Samurai Training Academy in Belgrade, Montana is part of that life. It is not the name of this practice.

Banking

Thirty-four years sitting with people through high-stakes decisions about money, businesses, and livelihoods.

Mountains

Time on big mountains, including high on Everest, where turning around was the call that had to be made.

The mat

Since 2013, owner and teacher at Samurai Training Academy. The arts there are karate, jujutsu, kendo, and iaido.
